Please note: online providers allow 6 months to complete the course. They do not offer an extension and you will have to start over, so please plan accordingly. Most candidates complete the course in 8-12 weeks.

Schedule your fingerprint appointment directly on IPLB or opt to receive your fingerprint packet and schedule a local appointment directly. A common place available in most counties is the local sheriff's office. Scott County is $25.00, for example.

These three mandatory courses do not have to be done before you sit for the Exam but they must be completed before you are eligible to apply for your license post passing the Exam. Students often take these courses while working through the 60-hour Pre-License Course as it helps better understand the industry as a whole.

Please note: these classes are typically only offered once a month.
Once your 60-hour course work is done, you can schedule your exam through PSI (the official testing provider). It is recommended you complete your 36-Hour course work above before sitting for the exam. It is not required but students do better when they complete their 36-Hour before sitting for the exam.
You must bring a copy of your 60-Hour Course Completion Certificate to sit for the Exam.
Exams are offered in person or online. On your first attempt, it is recommended you take in person.
Each attempt is $95.00 for either the State, National, or both if taken at the same time. If you happen to pass one section but need to retake a section, the fee is the same.
